Description
Catching animals by cornering them is the key reason for training and handling challenges from toenail trimming to leading. Using a catch pen and a wand and rope for catching positively impacts every aspect of the relationship you have with your animal. Reaching out with your arm and holding your animal against his will is the SINGLE MOST DAMAGING approach to catching that there is and impacts every other aspect of the relationship you have with your animals. It makes your animals wary and frightened of your proximity which impacts any situation in which you are within arms length.
This short catch rope is an excellent tool as you graduate from catching with the long wand and rope to a short wand and rope to simply walking up to your llama or alpaca without having to corner him. It might be a good bet to have a few short ropes on hand.
This short rope is not a substitute for the longer version when working with difficult or frightened animals and without the benefit of a number of animals packed in the pen. More tools in your toolbox offer additional options for different situations.
Please note this listing is the rope only. I suggest that you have at least one wand either a long one or a sh0rt one ideally both, but having an extra rope is always useful.
