Gypsy got a big blob of grass in his eye again. The vet tried to locate it and remove it, but it disappeared, probably flattening against the eye where it was not visible. Anyway, that left me with having to put antibiotics in for a few days to prevent infection. Gypsy was not a happy alpaca!

I used the clicker to help him understand that I wanted to touch near his eye and also that I wanted him to keep his head near me. I have been able to put the drops in, not as expertly as I would like though. Afterward, it is clear he is not too happy with me as he walks off.

However, I have found that if I just ask him to stand and practice a familiar routine like walking around him and then clicking and rewarding, he very quickly gets over the unpleasantries.

What I would like to know is, is there an easy way to use the bracelet and administer the eyedrops on the right side without assistance? I have been simply working on his right side to get them in, but it is not as elegant as I would like it to be for him. Does one do it similarly to applying wormer? I have to be able to see the eye.
