Novice Handler Video Week 4 Day 9

Fourth week, 9th day and the pacas (& I) continue to improve. In this video, I work with Lacy with the catch rope. She still gets a bit worked up and seriously considers scaling the fence to get to the adjacent training area were Teddy is calmly observing (off camera). BTW, I reviewed the section on catch rope training in The Camelid Companion and realized I was using the catch rope incorrectly by bringing the wand over the head from the front instead of the correct method from behind the head. So, now we move on.
