The alpacas that we purchased were given Mazuri Alpaca Care and Milk Plus and we were told by the breeders to continue giving them as a supplemental feed in the evening (with access to free choice hay). We have not been able to find much information on the Milk Plus. It looks like it is used for nursing moms?? The breeders give it to all of their girls. Questions: 1. Anyone familiar with Milk Plus: Should we be giving it to just our nursing mom, or pregnant moms too? Would you recommend giving it to entire herd? 2. At what age is it safe for cria to eat pellets? I worry about choking.
