We’ve adopted a very kind female alpaca which is about 12 month old. She is born with a crooked nose. The upper jaw/nose is about a half inch to the right of the face so the teeth don't touch the grinding tooth and they’re very long. The nosebone looks further ok and there is no breath problem. She doesn’t seem to have any issues eating and growing. Her mother has had other cria’s who don't show any problems. Also the stud has offered his 'services' on multiple occasions without any problems. The breeder said it was most probably caused during the pregnancy. Has anyone experience with this kind of issues? Would it be genetics of wasn’t she very lucky? Kind regards Yvonne en Peter Alpacaoord (NL)
