Ok, I have not been on the Forum for a while, but it was very helpful last time and I need some more help. This forum seems to be the best source available for help with my Llamas. I have seen a lot of inofrmation on Llamas spitting, but almost nothing on what to do when they do spit. A little backgound first. I have two Llamas. I had great difficulty in harnessing my Llamas, that is why I was on the forum the last time. I got tons of help and I can now harness them pretty well. But, one of my Llamas, "Cookie" still spits every time I put a hand on her to put on her harness and/or lead. I don't put my hand on her except to put her harness on her or to give her a shot or to sheer her. We have bred, or at least tried to breed both of the girls earlier this spring. I have a vet coming next week to do the blood test to see if they are actually pregnant. But right now, every time I approach Cookie she starts clucking. I believe that means she wants me to back off, but I am not even in the padock and she is clucking with ears down hard. So I am asking what I should do. Is there some way to train her not to spit? What should I do when she does spit? Do female Llamas act different when they are pregnant? What should I do now that she is clucking at me? There might be something here on the forum already, but I have not been successful in finding it. If there is something there, could someone point me in the right direction. Again, thanks for all the time and consideration help in the past and I look forward to your wise council in the future concerning my girls. Respectfully, John
