I have had my three boys for 6 months now. I started with hand feeding and that did result in a couple of instances where there was a “Pinch” from the alpaca. I have gone through various options for delivering treats and believe I have found the products that seem to work so well. There are two products that I bought on Amazon. One is for hand delivery and the other is to have the alpaca get his treats from a bowl that sits in a person’s lap. My visitors either are sitting or standing, so I wanted to get all options covered. I like it when a visitor is seated and the alpaca can eat from the “Lap Bowl” while the visitor is able to use two hands to touch the neck. If you go on Amazon, just do a search for: 1. “Wheat straw pasta bowl” - These are the lap bowls. 2. “6-pieces Whisker Fatigue Cat Bowl 5.5” - These are so that treats can be delivered from the hand, which still allows visitors to use the other hand to pet the alpaca Wheat straw is reusable, microwaveable, dishwasher safe. I might decide to drill a hole into a bowl which can be hung on a lanyard for easy accessibility. Right now, I am just using an extra-large Ameribag which I sling over my shoulder and am placing the bowls in this with the pelleted treats occupying the outer zipper pocket. I sometimes have to close the zipper as the boys have learned where the treats are. I still occasionally feed treats from my hand, but feel better when visitors use the bowls
