I have a beautiful female cria DOB 4/16/14 that will just not eat grain. She is about 40 lbs, eats the heck out of hay and is still nursing. I have tried sweet feed, beet pulp & even putting a few grains of feed in her mouth which she eats but won't eat otherwise. We have taken her to our vet and he reported that no parasites were seen and wanted to start her on an ulcer medication which we did. I have the blood report he ran on her in case that will help with your guidance. She seems fine very alert but not as energetic as the others born around the same time that are eating grain and about 20 lbs heavier Just don't know where to go or what to do next. What do you suggest?
