Hello All! I'm working with a gelded, two- year old male llama named Lynnard. I am a Barn Keeper at the Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth, MN. I have been working on handling training and operant training separatly so far because he gets really antsy and excited, then pushy and aggressive when he knows I have his training pellets in my pouch. I would really love to be able to have his reward pellets on me and have him be calm, relaxed and most of all PATIENT! Is there a way I can teach him to behave this way? I really want to take my training with him to the next level and I feel his hyper behavior when the pellets are involved is really hindering my ability to do so! On a side note: I'm also posting in the classifieds section for any llama training consultants out there that practice/teach camelidynamics that would be interested in coming to the zoo for any length of time to guide me in some hands-on work with Lynnard! I would love to make it to a clinic and I just don't think it's going to happen for me this year! Thanks for any help with Lynnard and his treat madness!! Jennifer
