Does anyone out there have experience utilizing the FAMACHA system to check for anemia and parasite loads in their alpacas? It's now accepted practice in the US sheep and goat community. Seems like it may be a good way to check for Barber Pole. Any info would be really helpful. My vet has no camelid experience, but when he was out here a few weeks ago for my horse we had a good discussion about it. He's offered to train me and get me a score card, but before I ask him to do so I thought I'd check with my fellow camelid owners.
