We have kept llamas for years and they have always used communal poop piles, the same spots for years. Since our last old male died 6 months ago leaving a solitary female, we have acquired 2 pregnant females in the last 3 weeks. There are poop piles all over the place. They are in a small pasture near the house while I keep an eye on the soon to be mums. Today, while walking around checking fences I noticed just how many different piles there were. Is this a female thing, or a pregnant female thing? Any ideas?
