Hello, I am wondering if any folks out there are battling Eimeria macusaniensis. We have never seen it until this year, but it was detected by the vet school in our alpaca who passed away shortly thereafter of stomach cancer at the end of July. Since then, I have detected it in all 7 of my llama's fecals with increasing numbers, despite treating with panazuril and corid. My vet is recommending doing 3 consecutive days of the panazuril in everybody to get it under control. The llamas are asymptomatic, but I understand this parasite can be very damaging and sometimes fatal. One of our females is pregnant and due in a month. Another is due next spring. I would appreciate all advice on getting rid of it now and in the future! Thanks so much! ~Betsy
