Hi all I have a 5 day old cria who has a leg issue. When he was born it took a long time for him to stand up. He did stand twice on day one and nursed a little bit. That evening we found that he couldn't stand up and his back legs were splayed apart. See picture. He had x ray which demonstrated no bone abnormalities so suspected soft muscle or nerve damage. He is on antibiotics and pain meds. We have been hand feeding him and he eats well and is alert. On day four we bound his back legs, up high by the hip. He can stand with this wrap on. See video. Walking is challenging and I note his front legs appear weak, and the right leg is shaking and being held in a bend position. I welcome any comments on this case. Is the leg wrap a good idea, any alternative suggestions? Should the leg wrap be left on? If yes, for about how long? Thoughts on the front legs? It seems I can't figure out how to add a video. Can anyone help? Thanks Dave Keeping, Armstrong, BC, Canada
