Now its June 2024 and today Clovis’ other front foot has a problem. Clovis' pad has separated from the back of the foot. He is at the vets now but I would like to hear if anyone has experience getting a pad to re-attach. He is limping. It's like the sole of his shoe is come part so it's flapping with each step. The vet made us leave him overnight :-( I bet he wont be seen until tomorrow.
He has free choice Stillwater Minerals. I think I have seen him eat them. He gets a pretty good variety of fresh grazing and occasionally a little grain.
Vet wants to cut the pad off. I wonder if it will grow back. I am to apply Silver Honey to it daily with 1-3 hour drying period over a period of months.
