Hello, I need some advice. My vet is away and will be back in a week. I have a girl who is having problems with her pads (see photos). Last year at this time, she also had this kind of problem. The vet told me it might be due to the cold and ice (I'm from Quebec, Canada, and we've had -20 celcius). But now I think it's something else. So I cleaned his 4 pads and between the toes with lukewarm water and applied a mixture of lime spray with water (formula given by another veterinarian teaching at the university department of veterinary medicine) and applied canestin, which is an antifungal (I have nothing else on hand). I put on winter dog socks as a precaution and let the pads dry. I've read that it could be foot rot... Should I do anything else before I go to the vet?
