Hi all With warm weather arriving I am starting to check the llamas for signs of mites on their skin. Up to now ( fingers crossed, touch wood) they have only ever really shown signs on their face in the form of orange clusters and small dry patches. They have not had any fibre loss before or thick crusty areas. I just wondered if anyone could advise on treatments if and when something happens. I was advised to use a watered down Butox50 solution and dab on the face areas avoiding eyes. I have used this for the past 2 years and it seems to work. I was also told to spray on the feet, legs and belly if any crusty skin appeared. Is this ok? are there any other options I can consider? Thanks in advance
