25 Great Years

    Otto, our 28 year old llama has died. We got him when he was 3, so he had been with us for 25 years. Otto was a good packer, showing the others how to do the tough stuff like crossing the spruce bog. He was also our bear watchdog, giving the alarm call whenever there was a bear in the area. A few time we thought he was wrong about that, but closer examination would always revealed bear tracks. We are going to miss him. Otto, I hope this final trail leads you to a mountain meadow thick with lush grass and wildflowers.
